FRESH3Y’s Favorite Fragrances

Have you ever bought a candle, perfume or air freshener that after using it made you nauseous, gave you a headache, was way too strong, weak, evaporated too quickly or reminded you of an ex (Ew)? We have. So we designed FRESH3Y to be unscented. Okay, I know what you’re thinking. An unscented air freshener.. what’s the point? Call us crazy, but we like the freedom of choice. Scent is the strongest sense tied to memory, so it’s important for us to wear, and with FRESH3Y, drive, in the presence of a fragrance that appeals to and speaks to us every day.

Sure, this brings an added layer of complexity to a simple air freshener, but we have found through our initial and ongoing research, more and more people desire the ability to customize their products, and what a better way to customize than to have the flexibility to change the fragrance in your car as often as you want, with whatever scent you feel.

They say with choice comes great responsibility, and many of our customers have relied on the experts (er...me) to navigate these unchartered, fragranced waters for them. Thankfully (and sometimes, regrettably,) during developing FRESH3Y, I’ve tested and tried a substantial number of essential and fragrance oils from many brands. Below you’ll find some of my favourite brands and scents I’ve encountered.

Saje

Saje is a Canadian-born essential oil retailer. All of their products are 100% natural and I love how their site allows you to filter based on ailments like headaches, stress, energy, etc.

I love Liquid Sunshine, which is a mood-boosting blend of Citrus and Bergamont.

Aroma360

Have you ever walked into a hotel and are greeted with an unmistakable scent? Well, Aroma360 is the fragrance-provider that services those hotels and businesses all over the world.

Having traveled and stayed at these properties has exposed me to some of the best home fragrances. Scenting our Tesla with a fragrance that reminds us of the girl’s trip to Vegas, or our engagement in New York, is truly special.

My favorite is 24K Magic which is inspired by the W hotel.

Aromatech

Another high-end fragrance provider is Aromatech. They produce some of the highest quality fragrances I’ve come across, and they are worth every penny. Their combinations are so unique, and I especially am drawn to their ‘Cities’ collection.

Their New York fragrance blend has notes of Coffee, Chocolate, Bailey’s, Almond, Sandalwood. It’s deliciously reminiscent of a Brooklyn cafe.

Vitruvi
www.vitruvi.com

Vitruvi, uses non-toxic, all-natural, 100% pure essential oils, so you never have to worry about synthetic or artificial scents. Also, a Vancouver-based company, this brother-sister duo hit me right in the feels with this quote from their website, “By diffusing essential oils in your space, you intentionally set the stage for how you show up for your loved ones, your work, and yourself.” Amen to that.

Breathe is a go-to for me when I want a refreshing boost of fresh air and mint.

Those are just a few of my favourite scents from my favorite fragrance brands. With Essential and Fragrance Oils rising to wild levels of popularity, they fill Amazon with options. I suggest searching for a scent you know you love (ex. Vanilla) and see all the options at varying levels of price-points.

I for one will never be confined to using a pre-scented air freshener again. Why would you when you can choose your own and change it as often as you’d like?
